Agree. LSU and ND played several times in the 90s. I went to the 1997 game in Tiger Stadium, and the game in South Bend the following year. ND won both, but still had a great time in South Bend. The game in Baton Rouge was miserable weather and it wasn't close. I thought their fans were great though, and almost too nice.

South Bend is crappy, but the campus is beautiful. If you're a football purist, I think you'll love the stadium and atmosphere. No jumbotron, no piped in music. It reminds me of the Masters in golf in terms of sense of history and purity. It is a very different experience compared to most stadiums, which I like.
