First year playing football

Georgia: 1892
Auburn: 1892

127 seasons each

Number of consensus titles

Georgia: 2 (1942,1980)
Auburn: 2 (1957,2010)

That's an average of 1 title every 64 years for both schools

Number of years since last title

Georgia: 39
Auburn: 9

Based on their averages, Georgia will win its next title in 2044 and Auburn in 2074

Auburn was on probation in 57. And it was a split championship. So there’s that.

There are many teams in college football that would love to be UGA or AU.

If Georgia's 1942 national title was "consensus", then Arkansas' 1964 was consensus.

Remember when Fake Punt Kirby called that fake punt? He should go to prison for all those souls he killed.

Mostly they would love to be UGA, though.

The difference is Georgia claimed their second "title" decades later.

Auburn actually has one. In 1957, the school located on the exact spot that somehow got renamed to the Barn, was the Polytechnic experimental goat humping and cow defamation school.

It was a bowl ban, not probation.
