Smith isn't a redshirt freshman - he played in 12 games in 2015. Both he and Patrick played a lot in the bowl game due to Kimbrough's suspension. Next time do a little research.

I liked watching Kimbrough, but it sounds like he felt a bit entitled to having a starting spot rather than earning it.

Because, in his words, was seemingly removed from the team. If he can't play this year at Georgia, and isn't a graduate transfer, anywhere in D1 is a year wait, and he doesn't want to wait a year, so D2.

So reps going to the younger players means his playing time was going to go down? Im not sure thats a direct correlations. Maybe Kirby wanted reps to go to the younger guys because they need the reps more than the senior. Perhaps Kimbrough didnt like it, but it doesnt mean he wasnt going to have a role in that already thin front 7.

Again, patrick is already banged up.

I have a really hard time believing thay story above that Kirby told him to transfer or he was going to kick him off. He was a top tackler and an experienced player at a thin spot.

If kirby did tell him that then Kirby is a real piece of shite and a dumbass.

So far it is that he was told to leave, he was medicaled because of his head or TK left of his own accord, with UGA fans cherry picking which story they want to believe.

I think the speculation on why he left is irrelevant at this point. The only thing that does matter is that UGA lost a senior leading tackler and it will impact the depth and play at that position. And dont give me the argument that he didnt fit in Smarts system because the guy that ran that defense last year was from the same tree.

Dont know why yall cant see that there is a difference in practice vs. playing time.

The difference is that practice time occurs in practice and playing time occurs in games.

The two are heavily correlated.

10-4. Im with you now on smith.

Itll work out for you guys. You guys are talented for sure.

Just bothers me when something happens with a player and he gets shite on before all of the facts come out.

Again i dont think it matters why he left, but focus on the hole left by his leaving.

If it comes out that he left because he is a little bitch out PT, then by all means unload. That would piss me off as a fan too.

Anywho, best of luck to you guys. Hopefully you guys can beat Fedora. Hate that guy.

It hurts our depth somewhat, but he really isn't/wasn't in line to start this year.

"In the spring I earned my starting job," Kimbrough told the AP.

That quote combined with walking off the practice field makes it appear highly likely that he's being a bitch. He should know that's not how it works.

What information is he supposed to get that he cannot get from 600 miles away? Does he have a phone? email?

Maybe if it is something medical, he wants to be there for doctor's appointments or something like that.

I know we aren't as smart as you Tech guys are...but does Tech generally give practice time to the second string and then play the players that are not getting practice time?

We may have figured out the problem you guys are having.

Which is why you guys won 3 games last year.

The front 7 isn't thin. The DL is. Kimbrough played LB, not DL.

No. WEith UGA fans reporting what we have heard. now, if you know the true story, perhaps you can fill us in. You seem to know a whole lot more about Georgia football than you do about GT football. In fact, I would say the way GT plays football that shouldn't be too surprising.

From what you have posted in this thread, I would argue this point.

You really don't know anything about football, do you? Just because they are from the same tree does not mean they run the exact same defense. Pruitt is different from Smart and Mel Tucker. They handle players differently, call plays differently.....Seriously? You didn't know this?

It bothers me too. But nobody is dumping on him. Just saying he was losing playing time....and he was.

Why? If he was not going to get PT, then he won't be missed. He has to do what is best for him. I don't think anybody has hard feelings towards him for leaving. I've only seen people say they wish the best for him.

And here is the key. If you keep reading he went on to say that he was not injured. So....why did he leave practice? It might be more revealing as to why he was given an ultimatum....if he was given one.

I hate losing Kimbrough. He was the only defender we had last year that actually knocked Derick Henry backwards. Multiple times. That guy hits like a Mack truck.

So if I am reading correctly.

Dude is the leading returning tackler for UGA. Younger more talented players getting more practice reps with the new staff. Dude walks out on practice. Kirby processes.
