This is always the problem playing UK: if you can manage a lead for most of the game then that's great and all but their bench runs deeper than any in the conference. They have to really be off and your team really be on to finish out a win in a setting like this with the pressure on

Yup... if the Kesslers and Genos of the world were closer to the caliber players we have on the floor most of the game, it might be a different story, but there's a big drop off from our best 5-7 players and then the rest. A good portion of UK's bench would be starting elsewhere.

Dare to dream; if Fox could pull in high caliber scholarship players every year we could be a pretty good program year in and year out.

At least he has a personality.

Simmons is like the Reuben Randall of CBB.

Yeah... I mean the recruiting issues are just a broken record at this point. You would think he'd have heard it enough at this point to figure it out, right? If recruiting's not your thing, find assistant coaches that are amazeballs at it.

Recruiting has certainly improved but now he has to maintain it. Improving the interior of stegeman would be a start

Almost commented on that myself. One would think that might be the University's next big capital intensive project after the IPF is well underway and they feel like the reserve fund is sufficiently replenished.

Apparently there's a ton of stuff with basketball and baseball that is set to be discussed during the May athletic board retreat. I believe a 3rd base line expansion and a hanging Jumbotron are two of many things being discussed
