Yes, I'm sure Spurrier never brings up the title he won at Florida when he's pitching recruits.

He's outright said he never evokes his UF days when recruiting.

He's said over and over and over again that he tells recruits, "come here, come to South Carolina and be the first to win championships."

That's what kids want to hear and do.

Until you can prove otherwise, something similar to what UF and Lawing are doing ... I'll believe Spurrier.

I can tell you this. SCAR fans would not stand for a recruiting video touting Gators anything being put-out in an attempt to recruit for SCAR. That's dick riding at its absolute worst.

Imagine what a recruit must think when watching a video about a SCAR player, Clowney, being used to recruit for UF.

Seeing that SCAR uniform ... thinking about all the wins, all the SCAR DLinemen in the league ... hell, I'm glad he is doing it. It's a great recruiting tool for the Cocks. I wouldn't be surprised, if while sitting there watching that UF video, if some prospect doesn't say to himself, "hey, why not just go play for South Carolina, they've got it going-on up there right now."

IMHO, it's a bad move for the Gators - but meh, defend it as you will.

I guess Jimbo Fischer will use Bama film to recruit now? lulz

you're the only one that has exhibited anything resembling anger in this thread.

But please, continue pointing out how mad we are over something we keep saying is hilarious.

If pointing out your trolling is mad, yeah. Sure. If that floats your boat go for it.

You still haven't answered a single question. So, I assumed you were too mad to do so. Carry on.

Why is this even a topic? Clowney has given Lawing credit for helping him develop. Lawing has been a great asset for UF, the DL like him a ton. Steve talks about His QB's from UF all the time. Coaches and schools do this all the time. This is a non issue.

You're absolutely correct ... the Clowney/Lawing connection is not an issue in the least. None whatsoever.

Using Clowney on The Swamp's jumbotron ... it's not an issue either. It's funny, almost pathetic.

I would hope UF has not fallen so far - but I dunno - perhaps they have. If so, it is very disappointing because I've always held the UF program in high regard, as one of those on top of the mountain.

This sort of thing is beneath them IMHO, but I guess times have changed.

Does Spurrier use that 1969 ACC championship as a recruiting tool?

Does anyone have access to the highlight reel/footage they used for Clowney, or does anyone have a pic of the jumbotron with it on there?
