Megan Mullen has been saying the same things about coaching at Florida for the last NINE years. All of a sudden, it's a big deal? Just a handy excuse when Dan said 'no way.'

Say goodbye to Dan Mullen. He was only a fallback candidate in case the Gators couldn’t get who they wanted. But after his wife publicly complained about how unwelcoming and difficult it was to coach in Gainesville when Mullen was on Urban Meyer’s staff, Mullen’s chances of landing the job are all but zero. The last thing any school with an opening wants is a coach who already is high maintenance (see: Mullen), with a spouse who isn’t happy being there.

It sounds like Florida's chances of landing Mullen are all but zero.

Lulz, a couple of commas with numbers will have Ms Mullens crawling back to Gainesville.

Mullen's high-maintenance?

Really?

He makes $4.5 million now.

How much higher would UF go?

To be clear:

Dan Mullen turned down Florida.

You're saying Florida is going to offer Dan Mullen 4.5 BILLION to coach football.

Let me help you pack, Coach

This is well known. Mullen isn't a target for UF.

He's already paid what he'd get at UF. We're not paying 4.5 for him.

She knows the equation...a Starkville 6 equates to being a Gainesville 4

Now you show up. You could have saved 3-4 embarrassingly errant threads Monday for posters who were 100% sure that Mullen was signed, sealed, and delivered.

With that sterling top 25 record at msu UF made the right choice. Mullen is all hat and no cattle.

Gators obviously would have taken Mullen over McElwain at this point.

It is a little sad when a coach/player chooses Starkville over FU.

Gonna remain skeptical of this phrase until UF proves to have stopped their dumbassery in regards to fb coaches.

Calling it UF's choice is taking a lot of liberty with the language as well.

You would think that she'd be itching to get out of Starkville.

Must be really hard being the wife of a big time football coach with a multi-million dollar salary. Poor Mrs Mullen.

How bad are the facilities in Gainesville?

I don't think facilities are as much of an issue as they were before mcelwain got there. It's the one thing he did right.
