Actually those games carry some historical significance for the TX teams and ECU offers us to play a team that has been known to challenge the Power 5 conference teams. Hell ECU is the terror of the ACC.

Like I said. They aren't games against powerhouses and no one is going to buy season tickets because of the ECU game but it is more appealing than E. Michigan. And schools like that are sometimes pretty big in terms of student body and are close enough to bring some fans and fill out some seats.

There are other ways to make it more appealing. No one wants a 12 game gauntlet and UF will have FSU at home every other year but they can take a page out of our book and A&Ms book.. schedule a decent team that your team should beat but isn't the same as smashing an E.Michigan.

sane and prudent. quite rare here.

Schedule home and homes with USF, UCF, .

This will never happen, I'm not sure these schools would even want it considering it would be more like a neutral site game. UF's OOC schedule is fine the way it is. We play Miami occasionally and now we are going to start playing some neutral site games, we already have a game with Michigan scheduled.

As for the student tickets, this happened once before during Zook's last year. They still sold out before the season started, we'll see what happens this time.

Reel- attendence fell in the 11-1 year in 2012, Florida fans don't like boring defensive football. if, as a lot of people think is possible, Florida has one of the top 5 offenses in the SEC this season and Muschamp's seen the light then students will come back; until then, honestly why go. under Boom even when we win it's painful to watch.

When Agent Boom gets UF whipping everyones arse this season, a lot of UGA fans won't be happy

Good. Keep the Swamp nice and quiet so Henson and Mauk can mine the entire playbook come October.

Honestly this is an issue that is confronting a lot of college football teams.

And there have been plenty of threads about this overall.

But I understand, there are only a few more days to kick Florida while they are down before the season starts. You might as well keep kicking while the kicking is good.

I look forward to having access to home tickets easily this season

Muschamp has been a blessing for me as a new season ticket holder. This will be my third year buying season tickets (couldn't get shite as a new grad when Meyer was there), and I was able to buy 4 seats at my contribution level for the first time this year. So, now I have a 4 seat mini block in section 16, 2 seats for the WLOCP, and a sweet sticker for my car.

Florida fans are notoriously bandwagonish and they have ACC level fan support. Most of them jumped ship to FSU right after Jimbo lifted crystal trophy.

Thank you expansion. Now let's do the right thing and go back to 10 teams.

Which is why stadiums all over the nation are having issues selling out. The fan experience on a recliner in front of a 70 inch big screen is cheaper and better than in the stands, especially when there are only two decent home games on the schedule. This is why the Big 5 will eventually only play the Big 5.

This.

Florida's student ticket issue has to do with our student body being comprised of out of state & out of country kids. Everyone is from India, China, & Jersey

Doesn't Georgia (hell most schools) have the same problem?

That would mean giving up one or two home games a year. I'd be satisfied with cutting out the FCS schools.

Very false. Florida fans suck, but not that much. I live in the bfe between the swamp and gator bowl so I'm surrounded by them. They're into basketball now lol.

It is not true at all. UF set the record for consecutive sellouts among SEC teams and had the 3rd longest streak in the nation, every game from 1979 to 2012.

I do think this is a bigger issue than people are willing to admit. UF was built on a foundation of offense. Plus, when games are exciting and the offense is putting up a lot of points you tend to forget about the fact that you are sitting in some crazy heat and humidity. When you are beating teams like Toledo 24-10 or ULL 27-20 in noon games, it discourages people from showing up to these games.
