Looks like he’s getting his first collegiate start against the best defense in football. Hopefully his confidence won’t get destroyed long term after this impending debacle.

I'm more worried about him than Wilson. He's an unknown with little tape.

Hope he has success. It’s fun when Kentucky is good at football.

Sounds like we are playing for next year. I don't mind it.

Y'all should know that your best shot against us is to put in your backup QB....#Iscurred

Not the ideal situation. That Georgia front seven is elite. Still, it needed to be done. Wilson just doesn't bring an arm to the table.

Good move by the coaching staff. Wilson was handicapping the team and they had to do something. Glad to see him get his chance.

The best defense in college football?
If you have a halfway legitimate passing game they aren't so tough.

He could turn out to be the offensive shot in the arm your team needs. He's a big guy, so that presents some problems on it's own. With your OLine it could be tough to get to him, so with time to throw he could really blossom.

A great runner and athlete. Cant hit the broad side of a barn throwing the ball though. 'Course we never taught him to throw it so maybe Gran can do something with him.

I realize there’s a large chance Bo Nix only beat him out because of his last name, but if he did legitimately lose a QB battle to Nix then I’m not sure if he’s going to do much better than Wilson

If he doesn't survive, I'm ready to see Beau Allen

Gatewood can play once he gets going--he's no Bo Nix. I watched that HS game where he had a big, but unsuccessful, comeback against Trevor Lawrence's Cartersville team.

I doubt that Kentucky can win against the Dawgs but I would rather face Wilson.

Kind of expected this, Wilson just isnt good enough to be respected as a passer really. Might as well make the change and see if Gatewood can provide a spark to the offense. I mean UK put up 34 on UT and half of that was from the defense basically. The offense didnt even break 300 yards.

In his last campaign, *that* Gatewood refused to schedule a trial with me because he assumed he would be governor by then. Just such a great move.
