Tyndall is on campus. Parrish thinks Tyndall is a better hire for UT than White.

Third or fourth. Pretty much everyone in the national media agrees. Gottlieb says 3rd. Parrish says toss up between UT and Ark. Bilas says 4th.

I don't think Hart was saying you'll only be secure for two years. Hart wanted White and stuck through negotiations for a long time so I'm not sure it was he that wouldn't budge. White's father is an AD and gave Charlie Weiss a 20 million dollar buyout and White may have wanted a far larger buyout than could be justified given his experience/resume. Hart's not in a position to hand out a large buyout to a high risk/high reward candidate.

Fair enough. It's all guesswork from out here and the majority of the leaking comes from the agents. So your version may be closer to accurate.

I honestly don't know and doubt we'll ever know the full details. But I know Dave Hart has cleared out a lot of old 'insiders' who needed to go and that he doesn't like leaks. He fired someone not too long ago for leaking that we were switching to Nike. The media simply does not have the sources in this AD it had in the old one and are often flat out wrong/fed wrong info. Hell VQ and 247 were reporting on him taking a plane North when he was really talking to White. The irony is that while a lot of the leaks have been plugged it hasn't stopped any of the hysterical speculations from the press or message board 'insiders' - just made fools of them on more than one occasion.
