If Smith isn't going to play, put in Towles.

I believe they're wanting to redshirt Towles. At least that's what was brought up when he was eliminated from the race by Stoops. This season isn't worth wasting a RS for him if his only issue is development.

I can't believe they are talking up JFF. He did what he was supposed to do, but nothing else. What a douche.

I don't understand why everyone is so high on Towles. If he was ready to play he'd be one of the two that aren't being redshirted. He's just not ready to start yet.

I wonder why he isn't ready yet to be honest. I guess I'm not convinced Smith can stay healthy, or has the arm strength, and Whitlow is not an accurate passer. That leaves Towles, IMO.

Whitlow is the right fit for what we have right now IMO. He's just a sophomore himself but the playmaking ability is there in the spread for him. He just needs time.

I wish Max Smith would've just gotten the surgery honestly. If he's bad enough off he can't start he needs it.

He's just a sophomore in a offense he wasn't built for. I believe I read somewhere that he's having issue with the reads in the spread. Which is understandable if he didn't spend high school running it.

Towles is being redshirt.

Whitlow is the man, better accept it until he is injured.

I know, mentioned it a few posts ago.

I like Whitlow because of what he can do with his legs so I'm okay with that.

Don't get me wrong, I'm rooting for Whitlow, and on a sloppy track I think he makes the most sense because of his legs, but he's not a very good passing QB. How far can you go without a decent passer in the SEC?

Yes, I know...I am reinforcing your statement. Towles is not that good....slow release, don't understand why some still think he is the savior.

About as expected IMO. Joker left the cupboard pretty bare, especially in the secondary. There's some talent on that line but you can tell the new D is an adjustment.

Brown is keeping it run heavy despite running the spread because that's where our strength is right now. Whitlow has struggled passing but opened some things up with his legs especially on that last TD drive. JoJo Kemp's future is definitely bright on that side of the ball.

WKU has a very solid run game with Andrews. Defense has done a good job turning them over but is struggling with the run. Hopefully their conditioning gives them the edge late.

Always adjustments when things change like that.

Future is a lot brighter though.
