All good if it stays east. You have to understand Louisiana, we see a snowflake and we freak out and cause multi-car pile ups.

Your equipment trucks should already be on the road.

The equipment doesn't fly with the team. You do know that right?

You're in here suggesting a team drive Saturday morning to play a noon kickoff dude.

This isn't a Pee-wee team commuting in Mini vans. You shouldn't be questioning anyone's intelligence.

ETA: If you will notice, I didn't say anything about the team and equipment arriving together, did I?

Says more about the incompetency of your state than anything else. The state of Florida has way more experience dealing with this than Louisiana.

Why is this so hard?

Lol. Maybe an all time stupid post.

1.) It takes resources to pull off a college football game. Those same resources will be much needed for the aftermath of the hurricane.

2.) The Governor is on tv telling people to get out of town and inland. Oh but, don't worry, we still have a football game on Saturday, doesn't exactly match up with that rhetoric.

3.) The hurricane comes through on Friday. There will be damage all over the place. They will likely lose power. Are they going to divert resources to pick up around Gainesville Saturday morning instead of other parts of the state so they can have a football game?

4.) Traffic situation is going to be a nightmare. Some roads are contraflow. LSU flying into Tampa and then heading East is going to be a logistical issue.

5.) You want LSU to move all their stuff from Tampa on Saturday and be ready to kick off by noon? Yea ok. Not going to happen.

yes, massive Cat 4 hurricanes only have an effect the day of the hurricane. I forgot about that. Sunny skies on Saturday!

100% chance of rain on Friday, but the team's just gonna have to fight through it and get there.
I wouldn't mind having to wait a few hours for kickoff, but I can't wait to see the Gators get what's coming to them sometime during the day (or night).

Play ball.

They aren't your resources. If the city of Gainesville and the University of Florida think they can handle it then let them.

Gainesville is inland. You aren't playing on the coast.

You have no idea what the situation is going to be like. It's still two days away.

So? You think Florida gives a shite about LSU fans flying in for the game?

The LSU equipment trucks are already on the road. They don't have to go all the way to Tampa. They can stop Northwest of Gainesville on Friday and make the drive early Saturday morning.

I weathered out Hurricane Erin back in 1995 in Destin. The day after the storm was great. All the tourists were gone and we had the beaches to ourselves.

Not hard for me. Unless the storm veers more west and moves up the peninsula, then having the game in Gainesville is just stupid

How is the weather report BEFORE Katrina relevant to the weather report AFTER Matthew?

tide-saint troll. getting jollies being an arse.
No sense of the seriousness of this storm. No sense of the danger it poses. No sense of problems sending a team/fans into harms way.

Florida and the SEC office are going to regret this decision not to move the game.
