Simple: They need us more than we need them. You've seen their rapid plummet into mediocrity this season alone. They can't even beat their so-called "upgrades". (lost to both WV and TCU at home)

"Texas ran up a bunch of meaningless wins against a small, military school that was like Alabama playing an FCS School. A&M was more concerned with producing military officers for the wars than winning football games. Since A&M became a University in 1963 the story has changed."

What about all if the natty's you guys count pre '65
1919, 1927, 1939

Or the numerous conference championships you "own". Of course pre '65
'17, ,'19 Awww shite it just keeps coming!
There are about 8 more pre1965 you guys count

Texas will always own a&m! They all count boys all of them!

You guys keep faking more championships pre 65 though! That's something you are good at! Oh by the way it was the sheepfrickers that didn't want to play UT n the cotton! Had more to lose! This dream season would have become a nightmare if the were to play UT! ( and before you dumb arses want to talk shite, little sisters were supposed to have beaten Texas last year! 27-25 ). Didn't happen !
Weren't the all begging for the cap one, or chick fila. LSU should have got the nod to the cotton!

I for one, do miss the rivalry! I have a lot of friends that I grew up with that went to a&m! It has been a staple in the state of Texas football forever! It was one of the best traditional rivalries in the country! It wasn't just that one day! It was the year prior to the game, the month of the game the week of the game, Texas hex rally , a&m bond fire, six street, the Dixie chicken, DKR , Kyle , the broken spoke, the hall!! The stable of friends that I have, include a lot of aggies! We watched many of these games together and have made a lot of memories visiting each others campuses for these games.

My last post was made out of being irked. You can't beat your chest if you can't play the freaking game. I just want to play that other school because it has Been a part of my life for 41 years, and now it is not! Every one wants to blame the other side, I don't really believe that any major school is afraid to play another! I miss this rivalry!

I live In Baton Rouge now! my wife cheered at LSU from (I believe) 2000- 2003, so I guess I will have to make some new memories, from the red stick to collie ville.

Good luck to all my aggie friends, in their new home! Hope to kick your asses sometime soon! Again! Lol

And for the rest of the sec, sec, sec, not much to college station, but you will enjoy the party!

They have been going downhill long before y'all's switch but don't act like they are not top dog in inter city Texas

South Carolina and Clemson continued to play even after SC departed the ACC in 1972. There was never any question that the game would continue to be played.

I still do not get the Texas butthurt over A&M leaving for the SEC. It was a pussified reaction by the Big 12 and the horns imho.

It's typical bully mentality. Once you do stand up to them, they are shocked and want nothing to do with you for fear that their "bad boy" facade will be torn to shreds. You're right about the Big 12 and Texas in particular...very pussified.

You're confused, we want to rub our nuts on Texas but will settle for violating the pedophiles this year.

JFF did the Scooby routine right before destroying State on the road and he texted out pics partying on 6th Street in Austin 2 days before prison raping Mizzou. He'll be fine.

The topic is tired but it is hard for a lot of people to understand. The relationship with A&M and Texas is extremely complicated. Texas desperately wants the world to see A&M as "little brother" and that they run everything. That's simply not the case. From the mid '80s to the mid '90s you couldn't find a uterus tshirt outside of Austin.

Texas ran up the all time record based on 2 separate eras. First when the early games were always played in Austin in the 1800's and '00s. Then again post WWII when Texas often had 2 to 3 times the scholarship players as A&M. The reason Aggies bring up 1975 is that is the time when the scholarship limitations were finally in effect and A&M was a coed school with a minority of students in the Corps.

Texas has always had butthurt over A&M, practically everything about the school tradition wise is based on copying A&M. They changed their nickname from "Varsity" to "Longhorn" which was the name of our yearbook. They named their steer "Bevo" because we branded 13-0 in the side of it the last time they stopped playing us 100 years ago. They based their fight song "Texas Fight" off of the Aggie yell "Farmers Fight". They adopted their hand signal in response to our hand signal. They started their "Hex Rally" in a pathetic attempt to respond to Bonfire.

The really funny thing is in spite of all of that they claim to be above us and that "OU is their REAL rival" in spite of having no traditions other than playing the game at the Cotton Bowl around that game. Certainly it has been a bigger game most of the time in terms of national importance but that doesn't make a rivalry. Their hate and obsession has always been with A&M, even during OU week for instance if you went to a Texas board they would often have more threads about A&M than OU.

Folks from other states don't understand just how insidious and unhealthy the relationship is between A&M and Texas. It really makes no logical sense how the 2 Flagship Universities in the biggest football state in the US that have over 110 years of history playing each other would stop the game. There are over 800,000 living alumni from the 2 schools, most of which live in Texas. In a few years that number will exceed 1 million. The economic impact of the game alone is reason enough to continue it.

Your dumbass has got to be trolling but Im bored so lets go....

We claimed more natty's because we joined the SEC and thats what you do pussy...We have more right to claim those than anybody else who is claiming championships before 1940. You wanna talk about DKR and how you ****s ran up all your wins in your "glorydays"?

Furthermore, if you think we didnt want to play you in the cotton bowl this year and wouldnt play you anytime, than have so much jizz shot up your flacid a-hole that it has seeped into your brain causing neurological aids and frankly no one has time to argue with that

I hear that Deloss Dodds is planning to approach President Bowen with a plan to test his resolve. The game will be played Thanksgiving night every year in DKR-Memorial Stadium and will be televised only on the Longhorn Network. Oh and one other thing - the Brown Shirts will no longer be allowed to march down Congress Avenue as though they were celebrating some kind of military victory. That obnoxious behavior will have to stop.

if the truth be told, the big 12 is afraid of the SEC. and texas "pride" has been breached by a&m. they were supposed to continue to suck tejas' honker because that's what true texans do. so the other schools in texas, the shite school in lubbock and waco continue to do tejas' bidding. and it ain't just football they are boycotting; they won't play a&m in any sport. they are challenging the "texasness" .they honestly believe they are punishing a&m even as they are jeolous at a&m's success.
