So the frick what? I'm an electrical engineer, and just because I know math and how to program doesn't mean I'm qualified to assess the economic health of a public university.
Damn, y'all are defensive.
I think this guy, like Alexander, is a jackass that's blowing things out of proportion for selfish reasons. However, it doesn't take much effort to get a general idea of a public institution's financial situation because that information is available with some research. Still, this guy needs to be able to provide proof before he can expect anyone to believe him.

He mentions the "Capstone's dearth of Alabamians" but he apparently doesn't realize that there are more Alabamians enrolled at the Capstone than there are at any other campus in the state.

But not the Athletic Department, just everyone else.

I think the conspiracy theories are fun, but let's be honest, nobody running shite at Alabama is smart enough to devise something like Knox claims is happening.

Glad we don't have to put up with this shite over in Georgia

He is a UAB alum and his whole article is full of shite. We went through this before. UAB is in the middle of building new residence halls, rec centers and a wellness center Hardly what you do if you are ending undergraduate programs
Shhhhh! Don't distort the narrative with facts.

He mentions the want of the UA System to eliminate undergrad programs at UAB/UAH and steer those students to the main UA campus. How many more undergrads would that add to the Tuscaloosa campus? 5,000 - 7,500 more students????
This would make sense if there was capacity to add students to the Tuscaloosa campus. But there is no room to add to the already +36,000 student population. Tuscaloosa has no room - the infrastructure available from the City at its end.
Futher growth would grid lock the campus, which has progressively become a pedestrian campus only as it is. It's mandatory for freshmen to live on campus their first year - student housing is at full capacity as it is right now. They can't add another 5,000 to 7,000 students, no room.

The Alabama student newspaper published the same information from the same a few weeks ago. They obviously believe his information is accurate

Does this make bama a serious challenger for LSU's title of Bankrupt U or is it too early to speculate about that?

The CW hates the Tide and is not a credible news source.

If that is case then you should be more worried about AU since AU has the same credit rating as UA.

Tutwiler Hall needs to be raised and a new girls dorm built in it's place but UA campus has maxed out with the new Lakeside/Presidential dorms and parking decks.
Its a fricking ridiculous assumption
There's just no room left to facilitate a 20% increase in student population from UAH/UAB.
