I think Saban looks for neutral site games as a dress rehearsal for Playoffs.

He could get home and home with anybody.

Imagine if we get a Michigan-LSU playoff game? That's the only way we get that game, while Miles is coach.

Tennessee had a home and home scheduled with Ohio State for 2019 and 2020 but they backed out

you know, scheduling is very complicated. i'm sure there was a reason for the change.

of course, when LSU changed their schedule with A&M years ago their fans went nuts. never mind schools do this all the time. they still harp that we owe them money and only cancelled the series because we were "scared" to play them.

their admin didn't sue us. of course, we sued their arse when Chavis stabbed us in the back. the fat bastard owes us 400K!

Alabama- 2019

Time is running out to get a decent opponent on the books.

Part of Alabama's contract with the Cowboy Classic is an option to be provided a Power 5 opponent for the 2019 season.

Auburn plays Oregon in the Cowboy Classic that year... so Bama is probably going to have to go elsewhere unless they do some type of double-header.

I wish UK would schedule h/h series with Big X teams. We need to be playing at major Midwest schools to improve recruiting in that region. I think both UK and Mizzou should take advantage of their geographical locations.

Instead, we recently scheduled a 2/1 series with fricking Eastern Michigan. Yay! Ypsilanti, Michigan. What a road trip.

We'll pay out of the return visit but still I agree. We really need to reach out to schools like Oregon State, Indiana, Kansas, Purdue, Connecticut, etc. Name schools that we can beat and that fans would go on the road for.

Yeah, Kentucky could really expand their blueprint into Big 2 Territory if they were to knock off Wisky, OSU, MSU, or the Wolverines in a series. Nothing but upside. And you have the athletes there already to compete and win. And a landslide of money still to come being a part of the SEC.

the only exception was the home-and-home with Penn State in '10 and '11. Would be interesting to know if that series was booked before Saban arrived in Ttown. My guess is it was.

It was. They were originally supposed to do the home and home with Penn State in the early 2000s, but Penn State agreed to postpone it after Alabama got slammed with probation over the Means scandal. That was very kind thing for PSU to do.

I hate neutral site games. They've happened so many years in a row now that they're just dull. Would like to see a quality OOC opponent in BDS for a change.

I could have sworn Tennessee had a home and home with USC in the next ten years. Could be wrong though

Completely agree. We do it for basketball and I don't care at all as well. Give season ticket holders some actual value. As a third party I will be watching Alabama - Penn State anyway (unless Kentucky is on obviously) but I would much rather see them go to Ttown or y'all play them in State College. It's just a better environment.
