if they continue the path below mediocrity, we're gonna have to end it. otherwise, we'll end up like bama playing cupcakes all the time.

I don't think either fan baseboosters would allow that to happen.

College football is moving away from cupcakes. Hopefully by 2030 every P5 team worth a damn will be playing 1 or less rent a wins.

As much shite as I give Florida, and trust me I hate them SO MUCH, they have seriously stepped up their OOC slate. Kudos to them.

It is interesting that they did a press release to announce the continuance of the series. I don't recall this happening before as it was just a known thing that it would continue like UGa/GTech and USC/Clemson. I am sure we contractually agreed to it, I just don't remember it being announced.

Can any UGa or USC fans tell me if they announce the contract extensions in your series?

It does make me think that by making it go through a more formal process like this that down the road there could be a change. I could also see there being a situation like A&M/UT if the series were not renewed for some reason.

Miami was mad as hell when we ended the yearly rivalry with them and it was big financial blow to their program. FSU has better booster support than Miami, but they have never seen and extended down turn in their program which could have an effect. This next hire for them is huge and It would be really cool to see them whiff again.

I wonder if they were saying the same thing when Muschamp was crapping his pants yearly or while UF was going 7-6, 7-5, 4-8, 4-7 etc in the last decade?

Florida state could be back in like 2 years if they make the right hire. For god's sake y'all get to recruit Florida IN STATE.

They are required by state law to play each other. They just don't have the contract signed detailing all the particulars such as officials for the game yada yada yada for after that year.

Didn't the mighty Gators go 4-8 in 2013 and 4-7 in 2017 ?

I guess we should have dropped you.

It will never happen , the state had to force you guys to play us.

They don't do anything like that for us afaik. All the future schedules show the game to the last year the future schedules go.

I can't imagine the UF-FSU series coming to an end. UGA has no plans on terminating our series with GT. The State of Georgia gov't powers-that-be won't allow it to happen.
