Track and Field titles are about as relevant as our 3 claimed national titles in football

All the "total national championships" talk is so ridiculous.
Its not "ridiculous" to win any national championship. Your own fan base celebrates softball and gymnastics like no other fan base on this board. A national championship is a national championship, period. LSU and Arkansas lead the way in the league and have set a very high bar.

you won a lot of track and field competitions - some of them actually men's.
Arkansas' mens track program is arguably the longest and most honest definition of a "dynasty" in college athletics history.
The SEC isn't just a football conference. It is an all sports conference and dominates many aspects of athletics. Adding aTm a few years ago, only made this all sports claim for the SEC stronger.

Spoken exactly like a fan of a program with a very limited history in the biggest sport, but very successful in sports that virtually nobody cares about.
You are welcome to enjoy your success in track and field. But when you brag about it and try to pretend that a championship in those contests is equal to one in football, or basketball, or even baseball, it is silly to almost everyone else. Not only is it a lesser competition, it yields multiples more "national titles" because of all the various events.
Congrats to you and celebrate away...just don't expect everyone else to look at the accomplishment with admiration. It's not the same.

Yep. Just like I thought.

Foolish comment. The fact that I do not care about track and field does not imply that I am either a bandwagon or that I only know about one sport. It doesn't even imply that I am ignorant about track and field (but in that case, it is the truth - I neither know about it nor care about it.)
Maybe you should spend less time watching people run around a track and more time studying logic.

Spoken as a fan of a program that has no history in anything else besides one sport.

It is silly to you because Alabama doesn't win national titles on the regular like Arkansas, LSU, Florida, and even lately, aTm across their entire athletic departments.

It is the same. A National Championship is a National Championship. I am sorry Alabama doesn't have as many as many other institutions in the SEC.

I'm sorry Arkansas has such a limited history in football that you are forced to pretend that track and field matters to avoid being as relevant as Mississippi State.

Arkansas is a top 20 football program all time. The history is fine. Arkansas isn't the top program all time like Michigan, but it also isn't near as bad as Mississippi State, as you just compared it to.
I am sorry you're reaching to try and prove a point.

How many track and field events did you go to this year?? .... ( will probably say everyone of them)

It's obvious you're getting personal fulfillment from the achievements of other people. You are a sad little man.

So fans that don't go to football games aren't actully fans of the sport? Got it.

Being an Arkansas fan and Iowa fan, I do follow track and field and wrestling.
Quite honestly, not sure I would be following those sports.
Also, I suspect if Bama was winning track and field national championships, there would be many Bama track and field fans.

Yes, because LSU shat the bed and didn't win any this time around. The men were heavily favored to win and were disposed of like yesterday's garbage by Florida.
I get why Alabama fans hate to acknowledge someone winning a track title, they are, outside of a recent run of success very much a specialist program. They play good football and that is pretty much it.
So when another school, that happens to specialize in a different sport, wins then all you can do is wait for the sport you are good at to start back up again. Or cheer for Kentucky if you are one of the particularly loathsome side walk fans the Tide specializes in.
LSU, on the other hand, has a very rich Track and Field history. They have twice as many men's track titles then they do football championships. And the women's program... well they are arguably the greatest women's track program in the history of the sport.
Its alright if you are embarrassed by the fact that your school is basically a track school. Its stupid, but its alright.

Meh, I was bored and dumb LSU fans are particularly baffling to me. So you were quite confusing needless to say. Nonetheless I have 17 good reasons to not get ruffled at you guys
