John Metchie was injured the SEC championship vs Georgia and therefore made Bama a team with no depth and gave them a built in excuse of injuries after getting beat in the National Title.

After John Metchie got hurt in the SEC title game, Alabama outscored the #1 team in the country 24-7.

After Jordan Travis got hurt, FSU looked like absolute dogshit.

The number is 10. Coach Saban wants to tie Coach Wooden for NC won.

Something else has shown up as well, Coach Saban is close to breaking Coach Bryant's win total.

I say 2027 is when Coach Saban might retire

Jordan Travis = 2,932 of FSU's 5,411 yards of offense in 2023 (54%)

Metchie = 1,150 of Alabama's 7,323 yards of offense in 2021 (16%)

Looks like a legit comparison to me.

What did Alabama do offensively between the point their #2 receiver John Metchie got hurt and the final CFP selection?

So WR injuries didn't cause your team to lose to Georgia in 2021??? interesting

13-0 against the 55th ranked SOS, and their defense had the benefit of playing against five (5) backup QBs.

But I’m sure you already knew that. You’re not, you know, lazy or anything.

We still had our #1 receiver, genius. We outscored Georgia 24-7 after our #2 receiver went down, and were tied with them in the CFP title game when our #1 receiver went down.

First off, he's an idiot, and secondly, the pool of available teams were much different that season.

All of these criteria came into play this year because there were so many teams with a realistic claim.

The season you referenced had Cincinnati also making the CFP for gosh sakes.

This year Florida State would've made it if there hadn't been five or six teams vying for four spots. That being the case, they failed two of the five metrics.

That Cincinnati team had Sauce Gardner and Desmond Ridder. How dare you knock them.

Actually do remember watching him shadow JaMo that whole game and being like shite that dude is real. The rest of that team wasn't, but he was incredible.

Don't hear us crying about injuries. Thats a Bama thing. Would it have helped to have Ladd and Brock healthy all year - sure. Is it a reason we lost - nope.

He's one of the best CBs of the last decade. He's really an unbelievable talent.

But yeah, they would have been a 3/4 loss team in a strong conference.

That's not crying about injuries my boy. Stating a fact is not blaming the game on injuries.

Try and keep up

Just when we thought the LSU fans had made the most pitiful posts, a Georgia fan steps up and says “hold my beer”.

Since they just got their asses kicked straight up, they have to bring the only time they've beaten Bama into the argument.

I like the fact that if you take Metchie's yardage out completely, Alabama put up 6,173 yards in 2021 (13 games all Power 5). That is 762 more yards that FSU had so far this year even including Travis' 2,932 yards (13 games as well).
