From the "Who is Worse" thread - showing Kramer Robertson's (Kim Mulkey) mother

constantly is annoying as hell. An LSU player bunts - camera cuts to Mulkey, LSU player strikes out - camera cuts to Mulkey, LSU player steals a base - camera cuts to Kim Mulkey.
It's like ESPN needs to validate what is happening on the field by showing Baylor's women's basketball coach after every play. The amount of TV time she gets is ridiculous.
If you want drama show the players in the dugouts. I hate that they show certain people in the stands that have nothing to do with the game to get their response to the game. I would rather see the response from people involved in the game - players and coaches.
I have no problem when they show random people or hot chicks occasionally - like the Possum hat guy. Especially when nothing is happening on the field. But I have no desire to see Kim Mulkey Robertson any more than I already have.
I'm an LSU fan and the last time we won it all in Omaha I got annoyed because they were showing CPM's wife so much. What dumb look she had on her face at any moment in time had nothing to do with the game being played on the field. Either she quit going to LSU games or the camera people don't know who she is because they don't ever show her anymore - Thank God.

Agreed. I enjoyed when they had her in the booth for an inning, but the cuts to her while she's sitting in the stands has been ridiculous all year.

I kept wondering, is Kramer Robertson's mom the only mother at the Hoover Met? Jesus Christ. Kid is a good ball player but he and his mother have gotten quadruple the air time of anyone in the tournament

they love doing this for LSU, for whatever reason. in '09 CWS they pretty much had a camera designated for mikie mahtooks family

Its so annoying.
They'll put her on camera when she's looking down at her phone and her son is in the dugout not doing anything.
My wife even commented on it and she was giving the game the other night about 1% of her attention.

His dad played football at LSU and died when he was young and Mikie was a star player on the championship team.
That makes more sense to me than Kim Mulkey.

Yeah I could give 2 shits about Mulkey and they insist on showing her all game. What about other parents. Florida's Guthrie's dad pitched at LSU and in the bigs for at least a dozen years. Was there even a mention of this during any LSU FL game? As a baseball fan that's more interesting than freaking Mulkey.

The one time I liked it was when they showed Les in the stands when Chad Jones came out in relief in the 6th inning (I think) of the last game in '09.

I agree.... but one reaction shot to a big play is ok. I always liked Brad Cresse's dad's reaction to his son's game winning hit in the CWS final.

I agree showing families celebrate after a big play or hit is one thing. Showing one person for no apparent reason all the time is another.
