For political reasons, TAMU.

For money, women, national power and Texas culture, UT.

That would tend to favor UT, but I'm glad we got TAMU. We have Alabama, we don't need the less good, less redneck version of Alabama as well.

what political reasons?

I'd much rather visit austin....

I'd much rather talk to UT girls

I'd much rather deal with UT fans in general.

Aggies because they're closer.

UT because Austin is a way better road trip than College Station.

Aggies because they have a storied rivalry in LSU and a natural rivalry with Arkansas.

UT because Bevo is a badass mascot.

Aggies because have you seen UT's band uniforms?!

Lol, like Texas would share that money with the SEC. They have a "tradition" if you will of not doing just that.

They'd see the light. Plus long term Texas just draws a lot more interest than A&M. A&M, minus JFF, is a pretty boring program.

Though I admittedly appreciate your contribution and I'm glad A&M is here.

What do you mean by "have", like on the schedule?

BOTH!

It would be a win/win.

If they were going to do that, they would have done it BEFORE they locked themselves in that shitshow conference for 10 years.

I'll tell you what: you can go on believing that Texas can be changed, if I can believe Bama is a benevolent dictator. My Bama crush for your Texas one? We are talking equivalent amounts of delusion.

Yeah, making millions in TV money sure is boring. That new network sure is boring.

From this LSU fan's perspective, if it meant not having to play a frickin' night game on Thanksgiving every other year, I would take UT.

Don't be so touchy. UT is just a much bigger brand and anybody would want to add the biggest brand in a huge state.

Agreed.

Maybe, maybe not. Life is about balance, trade-offs.

Is their brand SO much better than ours that it is worth dealing with their attitudes on sharing, rivalries, etc?Does the SEC need yet ANOTHER top 10 brand to beat itself up with? Does Texas's brand get the SEC Network more money than they would ask for in return for folding the LHN?

You might say all yes, but I think there is an argument for some no.

Yeah those are valid points. I don't have any love for UT, I just recognize them as a valuable entity.
