I'd say we have our hands full tonight versus Mr. Skenes

A couple of really good games last night as both visiting teams fought back to get the games tied, but the home teams did what they needed to do to seal the victory.

Final Mississippi St 7 Tennessee 8
Final Texas A&M 5 Arkansas 7

Down 5-0 to 5-5. The showed a graphic on the screen that Arkansas was 105-0 when up by 5 or more after X innings (I forget how many). At that point I knew we were winning.

Then we couldn't get a runner home from 3rd with only 1 out in the 7th and again runners at 2nd and 3rd with 1 out in the 8th.

Arkansas defense was lights out in clutch moments last night. Good thing going for Aggies now because rest of our pitching staff is not good

He gets it up on his own, he strikes out so damn many. He rarely gets an inning with fewer than 12-15, and often gets above that. At times he throws three strike outs and more than 15 pitches.

But it seems Jay has no problem letting him go to 100 plus, so that gets him to the 7th if all goes great.

There's a decent chance we have a tie at the top of the SEC standings after this weekend.

A fitting ending to the regular season would be SC and LSU tied at the top. What’s the next tie breaker in that hypothetical?

ETA: looks like it would record against next highest seeded common opponent, then repeat down the list.

Interesting. Bet he’s on a pitch count. Must mean mcentire is either coming out of pen or starting tomorrow
