Tom Fornelli is obviously a UT hater.

We are overlooked but some of it is deserved.
In comparison to other SEC teams we have average talent on our rosters.
We are a solid team with a very good coach and coaching staff that can win or lose on any given Saturday.
We don't have the raw talent like even some of the teams we beat to be dominant.
I would love to see Pinkel coaching a roster like Georgia or Tennessee has.
Pinkel has to work has arse off to get the most out of his guys to be able to compete. Football is about athletes and we have to make ours. We don't get the pick of the litter and our recruiting rankings prove that.
Pinkel has his own way of doing things and it is working for him but we struggle against teams that have the better athletes and have coaches that are as good or better than ours.
I don't know what it will take for Mizzou to be able to walk in and take 4 and 5 star players on a consistent basis from other programs in the SEC. If we aren't doing it now it may never happen.
Pinkel is underrated in what he does here at Mizzou.

I'm wondering how much will Mizzou pay to keep Pinkel.
If he wins the East again, or actually wins the SEC. There will be some big dollars come calling.

They will pay whatever they have to pay. Right now he is Mizzou football.

I don't buy Kansas State, BYU or Georgia Tech. BYU and Georgia Tech receive too much respect, if anything. Kansas State receives what they deserve. I'm down with Missouri and MSU, though.

Thing is we constantly say 'Pinkel is undderared' or 'Mizzou is underrated but with Pinkel, in particular, I'm not sure it's true. We see comment after comment on how he is underrated and that he's supposedly the best coach in the East. Yet with comments like that how on Earth can he be underrated?
If anything, it seems to me that both Pinkel and Mizzou aren't so much underrated as you are forgotten about and a huge part of that is y'all don't play a legit game until week #4, (this year) which is certainly better than last year (it wasn't until week #5 that you got around to playing anyone but you still play UK and USC to open SEC play and should already have bowl eligibility tied up by the end of week 6.
Scheduling has been a boon to your team and yet: whenever the front end is brought in. Mizzou needs at least one badass opponent early on or y'all will keep getting forgot about.
It's important for any 'new blood' team to seize the spotlight by any means necessary and Mizzou hasn't quite done so.
