Kevin Toliver II is the only one with a realistic shot at it. Our CB depth is scary:

1. Tre'Davious White 5* JR
2a. Ed Paris 4* SO
2b. Kevin Toliver II 5* FR
3. Donte Jackson 5* FR
4. Dwayne Thomas 4* RSJR
5. Xavier Lewis 4* FR
6. Russell Gage 3* SO

Do you mean true FR or do RS Fr count as well?

True Fr
P - Joe Charlton - He was the #1 P in HS last year and I don't think we have anyone that has a strong of a leg as him now.

QB - Lorenzo Nunez - but only if Mitch and/or Orth are hurt or playing terrible.

DE/DT - Dexter Wideman - was #1 Prep School player last year, but he counts as a FR this year and still has 5 to play 4. I think he'll be starting by mid season.

RB/Spec T AJ Turner - I hope we give him a look as starting PR or KR, he's a big playmaker.

RS Fr
WR - Deebo Samuels - this kid is just flat out fast/quick. He had a good showing this spring. He's listed as a starter now.

Preston Williams (WR)
Khalil McKenzie (DT)
Shy Tuttle (DT)
Darrin Kirkland Jr. (MLB)
and maybe Drew Richmond (OL) if he excels or there are injuries

Another reason why there is no chance Tennessee tops UGA or Mizzou in the east.

Good thread by the way an actual decent off season topic where no one is trying to be a total douchebag.

I can't think of any that will start. We have a great class coming in though.

Mack and maybe Kirk. Shouldn't be anyone else unless there is an injury. Evans will start as a first year JUCO.

TE CJ Conrad
OG George Asafo-Adjei

Maybe? OLB Eli Brown?
We'll definitely have some redshirt freshmen starting.

I think Conrad is a lock to start at TE.

From there, maybe George AA at RT, later in the season. I think RT is a battle between Mosier and George AA.

Marcus Walker (S) most likely won't start over AJ Stamps or Marcus McWilson, but could end up as the starting nickel back under certain circumstances (Kendall Randolph takes a starting CB spot).

Derrik Baity (6'3), Chris Westry (6'4) and Will Jackson (6'3) will all be given an opportunity to beat out Fred Tiller (6'0) and Cody Quinn (5'10) at the starting CB spots.

Eli Brown showed up at UK at around (or under) 200 lbs, so he's a definite redshirt, especially given that he's going to need monitoring on his repaired ACL.

I think UK has one lock to start (TE Conrad) and one possibility (RT George AA) and the rest of the guys listed above (save for Brown) will play but not start.

Didn't Tennessee start all 42 Freshman signed the year before last year? I doubt many of the 48 you signed this year will start over those

I don't see starters, but no doubt some will contribute quite a bit and play in the rotation. By mid year there maybe a couple due to injuries or performance. I expect the ones mentioned previously will be the main contributors.

Defensive Tackle was a position of need...which is why you may see McKenzie and/or Tuttle. Same with Richmond at OL. If (somehow) Pearson is able to make it back to the team, Williams won't start. If Pearson doesn't make it back, you could see Williams starting by the 2nd or 3rd game (IMHO).

It's really kinda a relief not to see a long list of freshmen we might need to rely on.

Punter Joe Carlton ... okay, good. Saw the kid play in high school and he has an incredible leg.

Wideman - I hope he does well. Watched him for four years in HS, went to the Shrine Bowl just to watch him play .... he's an incredible talent.

Nunez .... he's going to get playing time.

Deebo .... he's gonna play almost right away.

But that's not many and, for the most part, that's probably fewer than most - which is another good sign IMHO.

I haven't had time to keep up as much as I usually do. I knew that the coaches were singing the praises of Conrad and George AA though.

Arkansas only has 3 true freshmen listed on the 2 deep, all 3 are backups on the Oline. We also have 4 redshirt freshmen listed on the 2 deep, all backups as well.

LT2 - Jalen Merrick (freshman)
LG2 - Josh Allen (freshman)
C2 - Zach Rogers (freshman)

RT2 - Brian Wallace (redshirt)
FB2 - Tyler Colquitt (redshirt)
MLB2 - Josh Harris (redshirt)
CB2-2 - Santos Ramirez (redshirt)

Jalen Merrick has a good opportunity to make some noise on the Oline this season, he came in about as prepared as a high school kid possibly could. Josh Harris and Santos Ramirez both impressed coaches throughout spring practice and will be seen fairly often, but were both slightly edged out in favor of more experienced personnel.

True Freshmen - WR Calvin Ridley, S Ronnie Harrison

Those are the only possible ones I see right now. Moreso Harrison than Ridley.

Redshirt Freshmen - LG Ross Pierschbacher, CB Marlon Humphrey

Pierschbacher without a doubt. Humphrey could push for starting time later on.

Injured in the spring. Could be back in few months however.

rFR Ross Pierschbacher is going to start at RG and David Cornwell another rFr could start at QB.
Regarding true fr. Ronnie Harrison could start at safety.

Mack and Kirk unless some under the radar fish comes into camp and really lights it up, but that's unlikely.
