Well it does make some sense. What are you supposed to do if you're Ole Miss? You know he's got to take the fall for this. Do you wait 6 months until the season is either right on top of you or already started to fire him and bring in an interim guy to muddle through the rest of the season? Or do you cut ties now with the hopes of bringing in someone quickly to give them at least the spring to install their staff and system? Ole Miss is over a barrel right now with the timing on this thing. They've got to decide and quickly if they are going to ride out 2017 with Freezus or clean house now and start rebuilding.

They need to cut ties with Freeze and everyone involved at least show the NCAA that they are making progress in addressing it.

Didn't see if anybody posted previous, but in the Ole Miss response video, Vitter gave Freeze and Bjork the ominous "vote of full confidence", and I think we all know what that means. If your not sure what that means please text Bob Davie and ask him.

So just from a random poster. Don't their guys in the known have like official elitedawgs accounts or some shite?

My knowledge of that site is minimal but I don't think this is one of their "credible" sources.

The Black Bears have 90 to respond, that means May. Then the NCAA's will/should take at least 1 mth to render its decision, or June. Possibly July. Season kicks off in 2 mths after that. No way the Black Bears wait till that close to the start of the season to make any possible changes. It would have to be an interim HC, so who on the staff would take that role?

Yeah, they've been right about everything except for all the stuff they've been wrong about. And all the stuff they "report" on after it's already happened. Other than that, they've been right about a lot.

At this point, if Freeze retires now or 3 months from now, we are probably going to be stuck promoting Matt Luke to HC. No coach would leave to take over this program without knowing what the penalties will be. From what I understand, if we fire Freeze now, we would have to pay Freeze but if the NCAA charges stick, we would be able to fire him with cause and would be out of paying that contract. Given the fact we are going to have to ante up to pay someone to try and get us through this mess, I wouldn't think the administration would fire Freeze and pay him money they probably won't have to if they just wait 3 months. I also don't see Freeze resigning. If he resigns he loses the money and is essentially admitting he was in the wrong and not wanting to fight the charges. Too much ego for that and he's too invested into the defense of his character. I think he ends up gone anyways, but I think it will be after the NCAA makes a final decision.

The problem with this is that Miles would walk into a program that isn't bowl eligible. And I'm betting a dollar they'll get a second year added on which opens the floodgates for players to transfer.

I don't understand why Freeze would "resign" if Ole Miss is contesting the charges against him. Ole Miss is gonna circle around him and fight for "him" b/c it means they are fighting against the harshest penalties that could be coming. If they allow him to resign over NCAA cheating, it will be admitting guilt for something a few days ago they said they planned to fight.

(and why would he resign over cheating on his wife?)

Not saying the guy is wrong because I wouldn't mind Freeze getting his walking papers. But he says his "source" is an athletic trainer. The only athletic trainer that might actually know anything is the head trainer Pat and it's a slim chance that he knows what's going to happen to Freeze.
You forget about the one that is higher up in the AD. But he wouldn't be talking.

Les is a family man. He'd be guaranteed to be done with the season Thanksgiving night and get to spend the month of December with the family.
