They will not fire Freeze until Freeze gets slapped with a show cause penalty.

You heard wrong. Freeze is going to Oxford High to be girls BB coach for 2 years until his show cause is up. John L Smith and Houston Nutt are going to each get a year to help jump start them into a new job as a favor from the University.
