Yes, there are a few somewhat notable people you may recognize, like John Grisham, Morgan Freeman, Archie Manning, and Jimmy Buffett...to go along with the household names Hugh Freeze and Dan Mullen.

Change the flag. The old flag was pretty cool and the last thing Mississippi needs is to look even more racist

The MS State flag is beautiful. It embodies Mississippi's proud and defiant spirit. It will obviously be changed because of the reactionary Kardashian culture we live in, but it will be a shame.

A lot can happen in 15 years. It's time to revisit the issue.

well, I think that Ole Miss and State have tried everything else to win a SEC championship. So...why not this???

Truethier truth said , this is an obvious ploy for recruiting. After all, majority rules, and I'm referring to the black athletes.

Or, maybe, Hugh Freeze, a native Mississippian, merely wants to see the Confederate flag removed from his state's flag?

Part of me wants to say screw em because that same part of me knows that changing the flag will not cause one iota of improvement in race relations here or anywhere else. Too many people that make a living off of keeping the race thing stirred up. Change the flag and they will just come up with something else to capitalize off of some other future tragedy. The other part of me says screw it; I am tired of hearing about it. It's a frigging flag. I do not own one and am not particularly emotionally attached to it. The ones I care about are the American flag and the Christian flag.

It's just a show for recruiting purposes.
