The man was the SEC POTY in 1944; he was an assistant at Florida, and a HC at Missouri before becoming the Arkansas HC, linking him to the history of three programs directly.

His last major college sports record finally was broken in 2000 by some guy named Tom Brady.

The man is responsible for the modern SEC-- no Broyles foresight, no SEC expansion, no conference title games.

RIP, Frank. A true giant of the SEC.

RIP Coach Broyles! I always loved his calling games with Keith Jackson. The '85 Iron Bowl is probably his best!!

Frank Broyles was a great man and was loved by the people of Arkansas and beyond. He would always speak to anyone wanting to talk Razorbacks and had great enthusiasm for our players, fans and the University. RIP Sir!

I don't know where Mr. Kadlec got the $28K figure from, it was a headline in the newspaper that Broyles got 5years and $15K when he signed with Arkansas.

So long, Uncle Frank, and God Speed. Sad day, but in cases like this, it's better to celebrate his life than despair his passing. He'd been unwell for awhile now.
