This post makes sense. But the problem with Kelly is that he got in trouble and has a show cause. Once a cheater, always a cheater. Any program hiring him is taking a huge risk.

I joked before about Arkansas hiring him, but that will not happen. He is toxic.

I would stay away from Kelly if I were yous guys.

So much insecurity ITT, likely due to the thought of CHIP with the #1 DT QB in the nation and two NFL running backs wreaking havoc on this conference

The rep on Chip was that he was a lazy recruiter and hated the college game. So good luck with that.

Given Tennessee's recruiting disadvantages, it's not in the top 10-15 jobs.

It's a mirror image of Nebraska. Was good back in the day. Has some name recognition from a historical perspective. Has good facilities. But there are inherent disadvantages there. You not only NEED to hire a good coach, you have to hire a once in a generation coach to be successful there. Just good will only be good for 7-9 win seasons

Ah, I guess it's already that time of year when Tennessee fans claim Jon Gruden, Chip Kelly, Bob Stoops, Bill Belichick, and Peyton Manning are all fighting each other over the Tennessee job that isn't even vacant.

You really need to leave your safe space in Bryan sometime in your lifetime. Maybe after your mommy buys you some pampers you can ask her to drive you to the big city sometime chief.

I'll take Klatt's opinion on football with a grain of salt, thank you very much. After all, it was he and Cowherd who produced this little doozy two years ago:

Joel Klatt: "Alabama has a Nick Saban problem!"

He will have to fight 10 other NFL coaches just to be Tennessee's defensive backs coach.

I'm definitely in the minority when I say that I don't think Chip Kelly would be very successful at Tennessee
