I never understood anyone's desire to spend that much in shoes. Most I have spent is $80 for running shoes, and they were on sale 
I see people walking around in shoes that cost hundreds and I don't see how they do it.

when it comes to dress shoes, if you're only spending $80 then they look like shite, will fall apart, and you'll be spending another $80 on another pair of shitty dress shoes.
I agree, I would never spend $1300 for a pair of basketball shoes, but I would and have spent several hundred dollars on loafers and nice loafers will last forever if you take care of them
