If you understand football, and you find it in your heart not to admire Nick freaking Chubb, you are a very small person.

Nothing wrong with being humble, I like that in an athlete

Two of the greatest RB in the history of the SEC were and are humble fellows.

Bo and Herschel

Fournette and Chubb are rarities in this generation.

Are people legitimately hearing this quote for the first time? It was very well covered during media days.

I can't speak for Chubb other than what I have seen from his interviews. He seems like a good kid.

I get Buga deserved some shite for the 'pose' last year, but that's not him at all. He did apoligize to the team for that (team vote )

If you have followed Buga during his time growing up, who is family is, the dude is nothing but humble. He only wants to be an example for 9th ward kids in a positive way. I'm pretty sure the pose was just a pressure release and emotion on his first TD. A mistake for sure, but he quickly learned from it.

That was a great hit. LF picked himself up and played like a man. I got heavy respect for that dude.

I caught it during media days but saw this thread, and it was a happy coincidence that it surfaced a day or two after I heard Fournette interviewed. Seemed like a good place to say something good about a good kid.

Marcus Lattimore deserves a mention on this.

When you are right you are right. That guy is all class as well, and its a shame things turned out like they did for him.

To WG_Dawg:

There is no insecurity on the part of LSU fans regarding Chubb. I think Chubb is a great back, and if he were at LSU, I would be glad to have him. That said, from what I have seen of Fournette this season, as well as the tail end of last, I am extremely grateful that we have LF7. He is a truly special running back, and like Chubb, he is only going to get better. Besides, to make such a statement in deference to another talented football player, well, that only makes me prouder of Leonard. In other words, what you've written makes no sense at all.

Oh, don't you worry your pretty little head about last year. He didn't do very well against Mississippi State last year, either. We all saw how that turned out, this year.

Good luck tomorrow with the first loss of the season for Hobby Aubie.

Key word...."...right now." He definitely has the talent and potential to pass Chubb. And, he is classy.

ALL kids make mistakes, as do all people. It's how you handle those mistakes and move forward that makes the man. Sounds like Fournette handled it well and is going forward well.
