He's a beast( and I want him to win), but I think his game against Alabama will be the game to carry him over the top.

I will say that it is his Heisman to lose. I'm very interested to see how he does against much stiffer competition Alabama will be a big game as well as ole miss. If he is shut down and goes for less than 80 against Alabama Nick Chubb will be back in conversation because he went for 146 yards against the tide. I will say the big run helped but I don't know if anyone can overcome the media campaign for LF to win the Heisman.

In my years posting I've used one of those words maybe 3 times in all.

It's not envy, it's the fact Fournette is the 1st sure fire Heisman front runner, and quite possibly the best back to play the game. That last part remains to be written, but he's well on his way to join some elite company at the very least. He could eclipse 1000 yds in his 5th game of the season. You can't stop him, but just hope you can slow him down. Yet, he brought up the Heisman being a legit award. It has not always been a fair award given it's difficult for defensive players to earn that recognition, but it's far from illegitimate. He's running behind possibly our best Oline this decade as well, so it's the perfect recipe for him to shine in his Heisman campaign.

Florida and Bama game will tell for sure. If he's that heavy of a favorite after those 2, he should win.

There is a lot of hate on the frontpage about Greenberg saying Elliott is better.

It could come down to those 2 and could end up on which team has the better record. I wouldn't mind a RB winning the award, and couldn't honestly care less if Zeke wins it. He's a great RB and will likely have in the 2000 yard range total so whatever

Zeke does have a weird bit of history on his side. 1955, 1975, 1995 an OSU RB has won the Heisman

No the joke is that at this same time back in 2009 Ingram had just under 400 yds and 3 TDs. Fournette has almost 900 yds and 11 TDs with having played 1 less game than Ingram.

Ingram wasn't even the best RB that year. Toby Gerhart was robbed.

Bama wasn't padding Mark's stats this time of year, or anytime in '09. I listed his carries against the eastern michigans here. You seem to have taken Mark's win much harder than Toby.

He's awesome, and thanks for feeling like you have to remind us all 10x per day, every week.

I'm sure a guy like him would rather have a Nat'l Title since it's about team, but...

Fournette wants a natty. Other players mention that he has a picture on his phone of the trophy and he shows them all the time. Also, he was asked about SEC legend rbs like Walker and Jackson and asked about his own impressive streak. He said that he watched the 30 on 30s of the legends and that he doesn't pay attention to streaks, but he did pay attention to Chubb's streak and said that was good to see and he's a great back.

Buckeye06- I have to agree. But what do you want from the people? They all hate on OSU for absolutely no reason other than that it's a (God forbid) "Yankee" school. As if the boundaries have ever really been clear after the Civil War. North and South, while cultural, is a fluid existence, constantly changing. How else do you explain a high school kid in Upper Peninsula, Michigan being suspended from school for wearing a Confederate flag t-shirt? But you can't have a civilized conversation with a lot of these people about sports. Give them credit when their teams win and they act like d1ckheads about it. Tell them they played great in a loss and they still hate you for it. Screw 'em.

It was the narrowest victory in Heisman history. Ingram didn't lead in total yards or TDs but somehow go the nod with his sob story.

I think more people hate on them because they don't play a very tough schedule typically, but they have more than earned their keep for almost this entire millennium.

because he has a father in prison? tyrann mathieu's father has been in prison for quite awhile for murder and his mother is a crack addict. it's pretty common. ingram didn't win the award because of his sob story. he won because he was the best player on the best team and a team with a very storied history.

So he didn't win for being the most outstanding player in college football. We are in agreement.

It's time for you to get over 2009. And 10, 11, 14, etc. Bama owns the Gators right now.
