Mayfield, Goff, Perkins, Garrett and Hogan should be nowhere near this list. Garrett strictly for his position, the others because of performance.

A defensive player has won before one came in 2nd only a couple years ago. They just have to be truly dominant and a real game changer and so far Garrett qualifies. He was good last year but this year he is looking like a complete freak that is leading the country in sacks, even though he is being played sparingly in blowouts.

Dak quietly continues to look like the best QB in the country with zero interceptions.

It's all good, it's too early for Heisman talk anyway.

Indeed. I don't seriously think Mayfield has any chance to win this year. Its fournettes to lose.

its absurd that there's even anyone on the list besides Fournette.

Unfortunately I think you're right. The only way Buga doesn't win it is if LSU falls off or he gets hurt. All the Swag 4 Heisman talk has been in jest, I'm surprised he's as high as he is on the board.

Christ. Garrett isn't even getting invited to New York.

You're right.

But is Mathieu didn't win it, Garret has no chance.

Mathieu was more dominant and a bigger game changer.

Completely agree. Garret has no shot at winning it, or even an invite to be honest.

It's a week 3 heisman poll with a bunch of SEC players on it.
This should be a congratulatory thread and not a flame fest imo.

Mathieu was getting all the hype. ESPN loved him. Its speculation either way at this point but I don't think being a defensive player cost him the Heisman. I think he literally pissed it away.
