2:10 PM Update:

Police have confirmed that a law enforcement officer has died after injuries sustained during a shooting in an incident near Fidelity St. in College Station near the Texas A&M Campus.

CSPD says that more than one law enforcement officer had been shot in the incident, and that there were multiple citizens injured in the shooting.

Representatives for the College Station Medical Center say five patients have been admitted to the emergency room. Three had sustained gunshot wounds, with two complaining of dizziness and chest pain.

A representative for St. Joseph's Hospital in Bryan confirms that there was at least one female patient taken in from the scene of the shooting, but her condition is undetermined at this time.

We will continue to update this story as it develops on air and online.

We ought to edit the thread title. It wasn't a "mass shooting" it was a constable who went to issue an eviction notice and got shot and a shootout following that between other officers and the guy who was being evicted which caught a couple civilians in the crossfire. Still messed up, but it wasn't on campus and it wasn't a mass shooting.

Fox News said 4 dead, but man is going to retract my "lady passed away, tally = 4" statement, getting conflicting word back that is a premature statement

My Dad was at a gas station about 1/2 mile from where this happened at the time with my 2 little boys who are visiting. Scary stuff.

T&P to the victims.

My folks were in the area as well--called 'em and they said they're alright.

Not gonna lie, this shook me up pretty bad. Tell your family you love 'em everyday, y'all.
