I believe Topside is the first exit just outside of Knox County. The part closest to the interstate feels like your still in Knoxville,but you can drive down the road towards the lake a little bit and feel like your in the middle of no where. I'd say it's more likely that the body was dumped there more so than them chilling in Louisville. I believe the victim was from Maryville which is around the corner.

It is. It was the first TVA lake and was initially fed by Straight Creek (which it was created from) and the Clinch River. It is not fed from the Tennessee River. Rather it FEEDS the Tennessee.
While Norris lake's boundaries vary a bit. What truly constitutes Norris is Norris Reservoir which isn't connected to Knoxville where the Tennessee really begins (East part). It was and remains to a large extent the showpiece and jewel of the TVA system. It is NOT a dirty lake.
The Tennessee River is also a long arse river that flows Southwest into Alabama. Parts of it are clean while other parts vary in water quality.

Yeah I was gonna say, what in God's name were they doing there? Obviously dumping a body.
Clearly didn't think it through very well, there's a million places to dispose of a body out there, but they left him in the middle of the street

No ... that chick was from Johnson City but the moonshine still where I banged her out was over on Watauga Lake near Elizabethton. It was a beautiful moonlit night and I tickled her big boobies for foreplay and made her vololololol before I did her poochy style ... she seemed to really like it.
Sent me a thank you card some months later to tell me she left our love child on the door step of a life insurance salesman in Columbia. Heard he grew up to work for an agency around here somewhere ... at least half his genes were good.
