Hey man.
We have no problem sharing him with y'all.
He's one of the finest men to ever walk a sideline.
Prayers sent and thanks for the classy thread.

Posted this on the Bama forum, will post here too: 60 Minutes on Stallings Family
And here's Coach Stallings with the Bear before the 1968 Cotton Bowl. Stallings became one of the few Bryant protégés to beat his mentor.
Quite possibly my favorite Bama coach of all time. Thoughts and prayers with him and his family.

I'll give him some positive vibes because of his stay at TAMU. ;-)
Seriously, classy guy.

I had the pleasure of meeting Coach Stallings at a Quarterback Club event in 1999 the week of the UF game in Gainesville. After an entertaining speech, he mingled with the people in attendance. Great Guy...prayers sent!

Very sorry to hear that. Stallings was one of those opposing coaches that I could never dislike.

My dad used to talk about how he remembered Stallings coming to the house and sitting in the living room talking to his brother (my uncle) and his mother (grandmother). She was opposed of him going to Bama but he went anyway. Ended up being Lee Roy Jordans' roommate and played with Namath.
Good vibes and prayers sent.
Stallings is a great man, very active in the Downs Syndrome community, along with Church of Christ

Prayers sent and lol at the cow shite on the bottom of his boot in the picture. He was the kind of coach you were happy to have your kid mentored by.

If I remember correctly, the story behind that picture is that Bryant was wearing fancy loafers so Stallings wore his work boots to show that his Aggies were outworking the high and mighty Tide. It worked because A&M won the game.

His son actually had Downs Syndrome, but your point still stands.
