I agree - this is more than a little strange.

Man, you need a lot of help

ETA: Condolences to Stabler and family. The Snake was boss as frick.

Paul Bryant was boss as frick. He was boss as frick as a son, as a football player, as a coach, as a close friend to leaders of not just Alabama but, the United States, etc...

He was boss as frick as a man of integrity that cared very deeply for players and was beloved and cherished by those same legions of players.

He was boss as frick with the women. He was boss as frick with the bottle, just like Stabler, yet still did his job.

He was boss as frick in just about every way but, you can't find an auNeck that has a nice word to say about him. Never mind that their auNeck grandfathers and fathers balled their little auNeck eyes out when Bryant died, they now hate him and shite on his memory at every single chance provided and do it with hick glee.

So, really, excuse me if I don't find the fake and disingenuous condolences of Opelikans, flooding the thread about a Bama player dying, to be sincere.

People like the attention?

I hope it's not true. The Snake shouldn't be anywhere close to dying yet. Frankly, given his status in Bama history, I'd be shocked if it was true simply because someone official would be paying attention and broadcasting the news. It would be huge in Alabama.

When I was a kid growing up outside Houston, one year our YMCA football team won the championship and we were invited to come down to Rice stadium for a filming of the Kenny Stabler show where we would meet Kenny and some of the other Oilers. Needless to say that morning when we went all of the players were there except for Kenny...we were told he had a stomach bug

I hope it's not true.
(Some things are bigger than petty football rivalries.)

He was great to watch in the NFL. Seemed like a good guy, though I never met him.

I have refrained from posting on this thread today. I have not seen nor heard anything about Snake's passing from a reliable source. I'm skeptical, to say the least.

Talked to a buddy who is in A List. He said nothing has gone out from the A Club email or through the A List message channels. Doesn't mean not true, but seems very unlikely if A List isn't talking about it.

But Bo Jackson is a big Auburn fan and supporter. So, shouldn't you paint him with that broad brush with which you've painted all Auburn fans? He's an auNeck like the rest of us.

Being an auNeck fan and supporter doesn't mean that Bama fans will celebrate his death and mock his memory like every single auNeck does and has done in the past concerning Bryant.

We just don't care that much about any of you, to be honest. Now crack off one about how Bammers and maggots have a lot in common because they both live off of dead bear meat, you subhuman, Lee County gutter sludge.

After that, turn around and tell us just how sorry and devastated you are to hear the news about Snake's possible death.

Again, forgive me if I can't quite dredge up the ability to believe you, or any auNeck, is an honest or trustworthy person.
