I think we are all overlooking Vincent Hunter.

If I was going to add bench players it would be...

Darian Towns (if only it was his Sr year version)
Ben Vgood
Stephen Hill his Jr and Sr year versions
Blake Eddins (but not sure he started) but his Timberlake appearance is a must
Gimmel Martinez (he was the only guy I ever saw foul out in the second half of a game)

Just to make sure we have terrible decisions Jeff Lebo will be the Director of Ops

Todd Abernathy was damn good his senior year and had the best assist to turnover ratio in the country. I could think of a lot worse point guards than Abernathy.

How old are you? In the history of the SEC, taking into account thousands upon thousands of players...you pick dave bliss?

Was he very good? No not really. But he damn sure wasn't one of the 5 worst. And in fact no only was he on a team that didn't get its coach fired, they won the SEC and played in the dance.

Oh, so you're one of "those" huh?

His senior year he averaged 8 points, 6 rebounds, 1 block, and only 1 turnover per game. Also shot 71% from FT which is great for a center.

Nobody is saying bliss is an all american. But he's not nearly as bad as people make him out to be. It's easy to talk crap about him because he played on some baaaaaaad teams under a bad coach.

I wonder how long you've been watching UGA basketball. Guarantee you it hasn't been longer than about 7 years.

Ryan Rosburg

only a short term starter for Mizzou, but clearly not a D1 starter on any team hoping to compete, not picking on the kid for doing his best, but he just doesn't have that kind of talent.

Fricking Dan Werner has to be on this list.

Renardo "Where's the Buffet?" Sidney has to be on this list - unless he's playing Ole Miss. For some reason seeing that red and blue made him play like an All American.

Based on our record this year, I'd say any starting line-up could be our worst

I guess I am one of those. But waiting till someone senior year to put up the mediocre numbers you just posted is embarrassing.

Edit: Alex Tyus is my least favorite player of the Donovan era.

I feel like every time I look at Saul's numbers I feel like a jackass. He was actually pretty good and we absolutely gave him hell. But I haven't looked at them recently so maybe I'm remembering incorrectly. Anyone care to make me feel like a jackass?

Would you rather have bliss or one of the hundreds of nameless, faceless players at the 9/10 spot on the bench who weren't even good enough to take away 2 of his minutes a game?

And I"m not sure why you call those numbers mediocre. He averaged more PPG than maten does now, 1 less RPG than thornton, the same amount of blocks, has a better FT% than every non-guard on our team aside from Nemi, and averaged only 1 turnover. Woudl that be medicore for kevin durant? Yeah. But for what we asked him to do that was more than good. It also didn't take until his senior season. His freshman year he averaged 7 points, 5 rebounds, 1 block, 1 assist, and 2 turnovers. Again...for his role that was great.

What also needs to be pointed out is that Bliss helped us out in a way that most people would never have bothered. This was a year or 2 after the Harrick scandal and we lost basically our entire committed class. He came in at a time that every player on the roster knew we'd suck, and we follwoed up by going 8-20 or something like that. He came here because he wanted to play for UGA. And he did just fine. I have never seen someone get so shite on by our fans than bliss. What honestly makes him any worse than steve newman or any other big white guy? What about Robb Dryden? He sucked balls but no one gives him hell. Probably because the people ripping on bliss weren't even watching UGA bball when dryden was here.

What about other players like younes iddrissi, or rashaad singleton, or any number of other big men that didn't do half of what bliss did?
