What they need to do is this:

Step 1. Get rid of divisions.

Step 2. Give each team their 2 or 3 rival games that get played every year. Alabama vs Tennessee, Alabama vs Auburn, etc.

Step 3. Rotate all the other games like they do now with the cross division.

Step 4. The 2 best teams play in the conference championship game.

KEEP divisions! It's the ONLY way to clearly compare 7 teams to each other. If you do away with them, you're going to have too many tie-breakers & judgement calls as to who's better than whom.....esp. when you have teams that DON'T share any common opponent finishing with the same record.

Despite who you would put in each Pod that is the perfect thing Imo.

Play 9 conference games. 3 from your pod and 2 from every other. Top team from each pod makes conference playoff. First round played at home team stadium.

That lets every team in the conference play every 1-2 years and to me will one day be the future of conferences.

HOW are you going to keep these games intact each year:

MSU - Alabama - Auburn - UGA - UF

&/or

UT -(TSIO)- Alabama -(IB)- Auburn -(DSOR)- UGA -(WLOCP)- UF?

Pod Scheduling will be as follows:

Year 1/4/7/10 - Pods A/B vrs. Pods C/D
Year 2/5/8/11 - Pods A/C vrs. Pods B/D
Year 3/6/9/12 - Pods A/D vrs. Pods B/C

You'll play the other 7 teams in your "group". Unsure how to keep perm. rivalries in-tact.

This way you play EVERYBODY in 3 years (H/A in 6).

SECCG is Group 1 winner vrs. Group 2 winner.

Yeah no. The central pod is stupidly harder than any other.

but you 4 insist on playing each other every year, so deal with it.

and there will be no "North" pod.

there will be a Central and a South

or a South and a Far South, we don't want any 'north' anything.
