Just wanted to stop by and give you an upvote. Everything will be ok since I have been told by LSU fans that the Tigers are very mad now and Fla has no chance.

So congrat's.

For years I hated Bama the most...now I hate Florida by rmnldr I agree with the OP. Went to Gainesville in 2014 with my girlfriend and her family. Bunch of Florida fans in multiple different areas threw trash at us and called us awful names. I got shoved by a jort-wearing Florida fan who was yelling "go gata bet da tiggas" at the top of his lungs with spit shooting out from the lack of teeth in his mouth. He ran away after shoving me and I watched him run back to his "tailgate" which was a bunch of people in jorts and overalls standing around a burning trash can heating up heroin and shooting up. It looked like they dumped half the trash can as there were many empty cans of natural light on the ground. Anyway, the game was somewhat fun because of Fournette. The PA announcer in the stadium pronounced his name as "Leo-nord Four-netti" multiple times which I got a kick out of. A Florida fan near us did the gator chomp the entire game non-stop. It was just a constant slapping noise and everyone was cheering him on. Around the 3rd quarter I saw a Florida fan with a vomit soaked white wife-beater stumble and then fall half way down the stairs only to get blocked by a 300-350lb woman who was sitting on the stairway destroying what looked like a plate of nachos but was more like a cheese soup with chips floating in it. (wtf is wrong with your nachos?) The game ended with the FG and we started getting trash thrown at us again. We were all wearing purple and gold so we were pretty easy to spot. One Florida fan accidentally threw his wallet at me and it fell at my feet. I immediately heard a man yell "son of a betch" loudly in the distance and a 40-50 year old woman came running at us with a full mustache and goatee demanding that someone call the police and claiming that I had stolen her wallet. I picked it up and went to hand it to her but a guy nearby grabbed it out my hands and made a run for it. (To this day I don't know whose wallet it was) We eventually got out the stadium only to find our vehicle keyed and the back glass was broken. There were also multiple misspelled obscenities and insults poorly written with spray paint. It was surprising because the only thing that hinted at us being LSU fans was the Louisiana license plate. On the drive out of Gainesville we saw 7 traffic accidents and at 3 of them the drivers were fist fighting. Overall it was a miserable time. I'll never go back to Gainesville.

This was really well written. It's like a Southern Bill Bryson. Subscribed.

OMG... when the LSU fan base really started hating Alabama, the LSU team went right out there ... and lost six in a row. Now that the fans have started to hate Florida, is that going to happen again?

Be careful who you hate...

What I don't understand is why LSU fans feel like they've dominated us lately. Every year sans 2011 and 2013 has been a 1 possession game that they either win on a last second score or that we flub away, but they act like they've dominated us in, well, an Alabama-LSU fashion.

For frick's sake, Treon Harris scored 28 against them.

I grew up in Gainesville and I can testify that Gator fans are complete dickbags for the most part. Very few of them have degrees from UF. They're just local white trash who attach themselves to the athletic program and its relative success.

As a LSU fan I still don't look at it as a rivalry. I understand the hate but I thought the LSU fans took the hurricane situation a little too personal. And we talked way too much shite and looked like idiots when we got beat. Let it go bro. Go back to hating the usual teams we hate.

Smart move. It's better to hate a team you have a chance of beating.

So you mean like LSU fans, Alabama fans, Auburn fans, Michigan fans, USC fans, Ohio State fans, etc?

See. That's what I was talking about the other day when I said that UF vs LSU may be turning into a bond fide rivalry rather than just a yearly game.

Rivalries are generally a lot of fun. Nothing like a little bad blood to built a heated rivalry.

Nahh. I hate Bama because they have been better at football. I hated Florida's handling of the hurricane situation, and I hate that we gave them the game afterwards, but I'm over it.

I honestly expect to pound Florida this year. I don't expect to pound Bama for the foreseeable future. So that hate lives on.. Florida is more of an annoyance.
