The assholery didn't really start till you jumped in. Not a good chance is still a chance, and it's pretty lame for you to act like we should be too cool to not hope for it to happen. You're showing your arse and everyone is calling you out for it.

Two LSU fans, one of whom initiated the name calling, are calling me out.
So I disagree with your premise. I don't think you should be too cool to not hope for your team. If Auburn can't go, I'll hope for your team. But I do think it's dumb to get self-righteous to folks who don't include you in the contenders at this point.

I think it's dumb to include a team who isn't out yet in a thread about teams that are out.
I think it's even dumber to come in to this thread and act like you don't see why fans of that team would not agree with it's inclusion in said thread.

What the OP said was technically incorrect, I have no problem with it.
To answer the premise of the thread. IF/When LSU were mathematically out of the running, I hope State can do it, but would be OK with anyone but Bama.
