I don't see that. Yeah...we looked more like a HUNH offense last year, but Saban was not happy with that offensive philosophy. He said as much when he was doing the Crimson Caravan tour back in the spring. This year Alabama has gotten away from the up-tempo and gone back to a more traditional smash mouth attack. The offense of 2015 resembles the offenses of 2008-11 more than it does the offense of 2014.

The same things are winning that have always won.

I don't see it either. The 2015 bama offense is eerily similar to the 2011 offense. Coker just isn't as good as McCarron.

ETA: 2014 was clearly a different offense though. I think Saban has done a good job of hiring an offensive minded OC and not meddling too much.

Saban has changed "relative to"....
I think it's just a way of saying he successfully adapted. It's a nod to his flexibility.

Les hired an offensive coordinator to run Les' style of offense

Saban hired and trusted an offensive coordinator to run his own style of offense that would improve his team's performance and better complement the defense

What's that phrase "Stupidity is just doing the same thing over and over again"

The great one adapt and make changes to be successful. Coach Bryant made changes as he needed to as well. He has changed enough to move forward however he hasn't gotten away from what he believes. The same things that won football games 30 yrs ago still win today. RUN THE FOOTBALL AND STOP THE RUN.

I think it's insanity, not stupidity.
