How do you see this playing out?

Feel free to give both an answer from your heart and a separate answer from your head.

Au gets some sort of punishment in about 2 years. If coaches were involved, it will be more severe. I know that we have medling "friends of the program" and theya re invovled, it should not eb as ssever.

In the meantime, we will steamroll UGA, hopefully beam Bama and go onto whatever bowl we get. Cam will get his trophy, unless it becomes a morality trophy and Kellen Moore will get it.

If this investigation has been going on for as long as everyone says, I doubt it will take 2 years.

If a logical Bama fan, someone other than yourself, had started this thread I would feel more comfortable giving an honest response. However, I'm pretty sure where you and this thread will eventually end up going.

Heisman winner has to show exemplary character and such... it's in the description. that's why it's called a popularity contest so frequently. it's not JUST the best player in the league.

Honestly, I have no clue. I do know that the bad press along with the NCAA being around is nothing but bad for Auburn.

Has it been established that there was in fact wrong doing at this point, or are we all assuming there's something behind all of the smoke?

If Cam and his dad just participated in "talk" then we get out of this with a slap on the wrist and some bad PR.

If money was exchanged, we are fricked.

If AU did not pay and the Newton's only sought payment from MSU, then AU squeeks out relatively clean. (This is the way I was leaning up until today).
If an AU booster paid, USC will feel good about what happened to them when the NCAA is done with AU. It will destroy AU football for a decade.

Unless a money trail is found, there will be no punishment. There will only be anonymous "sources", keyboard cowboys, and various media "journalists" crowing about cheating.

Name one winner that won for THAT reason.

How about if we name one winner that had his trophy revoked for that reason?

Bush's wasn't revoked for that reason it was revoked because he was retroactively declared inelligible. If they revoked them for character issues, there would be plenty of vacated awards. OJ Simpson ring a bell?

You will have to change the question because you cant answer it. Hershel Walker's paper trail was better than Cams.

You must think we're as dumb as your cronies over on the rant.

"us?"

I figured you'd jumped back on the les miles bandwagon after the bama win.
