Probably helps but the major difference is the retooling of the defensive middle. Kendall Beckwith and Jamal Adams have lit it up. They have helped the LSU defense shut down the rushing game and the pass defense was already there. Beckwith was SEC Defensive POW last week.
The other change has been the total commitment of the offense to run the ball with authority. The OL is very experienced but overhauled the blocking schemes due to a new OL Cord. It is clicking now.
