The only realy question is up front. Can this unit generate more QB pressure and actually stop the big strong teams from running the ball...

This why I disagree with the Gator sunshine pumpers. I think the UF defense is solid, but not great. Against the physical teams, UF got pushed around. Easley is a force, but can be handled hat-on-hat. Floyd disappears for stretches. I see this as a quality unit, but by no means elite.

I know some of the defense getting man-handled was a function of the horrendous UF offense keeping the D on the field. I grant you that. I just don't see the Gator offense improving much, at all, this year.

Memo to SEC: Fla only had 65 scholly players at times last year and our offense sucked...so defense was on field way too long AND our team was underclassmen by a vast majority...there will be a lot of juniors now. Tighten your chin straps.

Have you followed recruiting? Boom is loading up on defense and will have quality depth at every position very soon. SEC fuuuuuuuuuuuucccckkkkkeed.

I agree that Boom is bringing himself some talent. Won't make a difference yet. The gators will be improved this year, I just don't think it will be reflected in their record. And some of the deluded Gator fans are already angling for his head. Give him time, he will get them where they need to be.

You might be the most level-headed gump I've ever come across

And I agree with every single word you typed out in your last two posts.
