Florida offense v LSU defense

The Gators had some nice runs throughout the game. Both Perine and Davis are really physical guys. The LSU DL had a nice game with LaCouture having to play every snap. Getting Frank Herron back this week is massive.

Auburn will get yards against this defense. I think LSU can cover their WRs and make Stidham check down but they have to tackle better up front. A lot of times the DL should've tackled the ball carriers but they couldn't hold on.

LSU offense v Florida defense

Florida's DL put a lot of pressure on Etling and they stifled the interior run game. The jet sweeps were executed well on a lot of plays and it really hurt them.

Auburn will probably wreck LSU's OL. Derrick Brown, Marlon Davidson, Jeff Holland, etc will likely be in the backfield all night. The only real hope is that the jet sweeps can freeze their front 7 monetarily to get a few yards and that their DBs blow coverages.

We just couldn't stop the jet sweeps. It's that simple. I didn't know LSU relied on them that much. Not a dig and it's probably due to RB health issues.

I wasn't expecting all the outside runs with the WRs and apparently, neither was our DC. He's fired too.

The jet sweeps are a staple of Canada's offense. He just hadn't been able to run his stuff until then. Orgeron was trying to fix the offense and ended up completely screwing it up because he's a shite coach.

Those Gator DBs are for real though. Dawson should've/could've had two picks and LSU only completed one pass to a WR.

We didn't, first game this year we've run them near that much.

WRs have carried the ball 33 times this season, 10 of those against UF. 23 times in 5 other games for slightly less than 5 a game outside of UF game.

It was more of a keep you honest play in every game up to that point. In the UF game it basically WAS the short passing game instead of WR screens.

We didn't rely on it in previous games. The jet sweep motion was always there, but we didn't give it nearly as much in the first 5 games. I think this was just the first game we went into not thinking we were the more physical team up front. We didn't think we could just run it up the middle on UF. Or at least not without setting up the outside stuff first.

Early on they got us with them. In the 2nd half not so much. Their backs only avgd 2.9 a carry. Theyll have to do better to have a chance vs Auburn.
