I was at the lsu game last night and heard talks of Del Rio being hurt. What's up and when is he expected to return?

The backup QB is better anyway.

Dirty hit on his leg. Most likely out for our game this week

There back up is a Pudue transfer as well. He actually beat out Etling and made his arse quit.

With Delrio UF had a chance of going 8-0 in conference play. They will probably go 6-2 now, but will still win the East.

Damn sorry to hear that! Was it fair play or a dirty shot?

I thought McIlwain was going to start a riot when he ran out to mid-field yelling at the N. Texas bench. That would have been interesting.

Dont know yet and UF may not let us know until they have to, but Del Rio took a cheap shot to the knees and Mac had to be restrained by players when he marched out to midfield, THEN our RG gets ejected for personal foul on the first play after Del Rio was injured as a make up call for Mac screaming at refs....and yelling at the dirty MFers in green. # 18 for NT came after Del Rios knee. He was pulled after a few plays for his own protection cause Gator players would have killed that MFer.

Injury doesnt look good and we expect fifth yr transfer Austin Appleby to start at Knoxvegas. He is tall and started a bunch of games at Purdue throwing 19 TDs but had 19 picks....but you have to look at his supporting cast around him up there...has stronger arm than Del Rio and can zing it....just needs more accuracy and needs to get timing down. He will be sharp when we beat LSU in the Swamp...we only allowed 53 yds of TOTAL offense last night...our defense is nasty as hell. -yds rushing.

The kid had an open shot on him for the sack but went really low. IMO it was probably intentional.

And as said, he almost certainly tore some ligaments in his knee. He hit him on the outside of the knee and it visibly bent the wrong way when he did in the slow mo.

Did you watch the replay? It was a bush league hit and I would be concerned if the coach & players didn't get pissed.

I dont appreciate your sense of humor...Id like to see your fat azz in the locker room with some of our defensive players and show them that....you would be lucky to escape with your miserable life.

We dont need offense to beat UT....our # 1 defense is coming with us and will make UT fans sit on their hands. Our back up QB has beaten you a few times...should be used to it by now.

The thing about the hit is, Del Rio is all of 6'1, and maybe 210 lbs. it's not like that little motherfricker was trying to sack Cam Newton. He dove straight at his knees after the ball was released. All he needed to do was bump his shoulder. It was dirty as frick, and I'd be saying that if it was LDR, Josh Dobbs, Jacob Eason, or any other quarterback. That kid may be a good person, but he is a piece of shite on the field that has taken out two ACLs in two weeks now.

Don't know if it was intentional or not, could've been miscalculate on the NT player's part, but the NT coaches on the sideline seemed to be encouraging that type of play during the whole game.
