Nope. If you can't protect a 21 point lead and you give up multiple explosive plays you aren't fit call yourself a better team. Now is Tennessee a great team? That remains to be seen but for now they are 4-0.

Tennessee dropped 2 TD passes and finished the game on the Florida 1 yard line when time expired.

The score could have been much worse than 28-38. I would have never even brought that up if you wouldn't have come off like such a douche bag. FWIW, I'd say Florida will beat Georgia by 10+.

Yeah.I understand that a lot of Crocodile tears were shed in the gator's locker room at Neyland.I believe it is ingrained into the gator mindset a profound arrogance..I believe they really think they are good..Tennessee showed them, that the bully in the school is usually a cry baby when confronted..

I mean, I could understand the comment if you lose by a couple points on a controversial call, or a missed field goal, or something like that. But when you flat out get your arse kicked and lose by double digits, it's a phenomenally stupid comment.

In Appleby's defense, he is by far not the reason UF lost that game.

But I will say our fans and players have gone full tard since Saturday.

They all need a 2x4 smashed in their faces. This is pathetic.

Consider Appleby threw a lot of passes when it was obvious he had to throw...only sacked twice, which means UF has only given up 3 sacks all year. Derek and the entire defense for UT played over their heads when the Mo swung.

But dont forget we were just as dominant in the first half and you guys couldnt do anything...settling for 3pts at halftime. The one thing that killed us was field position...we had headfarts on returns of punts and KOs and our starting field position was God awful, part of which was because of UT...but mostly mental errors by us. You cant throw long from inside your 5 yd line much.

You saw the first half UT and tell me that isnt a fierce defense? Dont lie...just tell the truth. I will give you credit for the defense and offense in 2nd half....again you had the home crowd going nuts and players feed off that....just like we will next year in the Swamp.

Its still a long season and I wouldnt book those trips to Hotlanta just yet...just never know. Congrats on the W, you deserved it and I hope our CBs STFU

You're a raging homer douche bag even in defeat. You're nothing if not consistent.

Tennessee dropped 5 balls in the 1st half. 2 of which would have gone for touch downs. You made some nice stops but the score is 21-17 going into half if not for the uncharacteristic drops.

We corrected the mistakes at half and then came out and punished you. You just aren't very good. It is what it is. Your defense is soft and over rated and your offense is pedestrian. Eveidenced by not picking up your 1st down in the 2nd half until 7 minutes to go in the 4th quarter. You gained something like 4 yards in the 3rd quarter and - 7 yards on your first 5 ot 6 possessions. Tennessee DL ate your OL lunch and there was nothing you could do about it.

Tell Teez and Wilson quack quack for us.

Lol you're so clueless. Tennessee was moving the ball plenty on UF in the first half but 5 drops and retarded play calling was killing us. Tennessee's second half defense was far more dominant than Florida's "best in 54 years" defense was at any point in the game.

From halftime until 8 minutes left in the 4th, Florida had six possessions. It went like this

3 plays 9 yards
3 plays -9 yards
3 plays -1 yards
3 plays -1 yards
1 play 1 interception
3 plays -7 yards

But yeah, keep using Jalen Tabor and Quincy Wilson's quotes as viagra, grandpa. Jajuan Jennings is still running

But it showed what you guys can do when clicking.

They came out the second half like they had a Mandingo sized Dick with a chainsaw around it, and stuck in Florida every chance they got.

You and cajunbama circle jerked (does 2 people count as a circle?) all offseason about how "daddy gator" would make it 12 in a row and send UT's season off the rails. And it didn't happen.

He's right! If Chubb plays most the game UGA wins in Athens this week.

Lol nah. I'd say we're at least 3 points better than Nich St, 2 points better than Mizzou, and not more than 31 points worse than OM.

OK, I'll play. One thing I did learn watching that game is UF is not good. Shitty defense and and a shitty offense. So, if UF was the better team then UT sucks really bad. Bottom line, you both suck.

Come on gators. Do better.

Congratulate them and expect them to blow off steam.

They beat us. Most of us predicted it. You can't take a backup from Purdue and expect a win in his first start on the road against a big 6 team.

It was easy to see. When up, we played not to lose and UT fought to win.

Stop with the crap. Perhaps some of you don't remember losing to UT. You are acting like some of their fans that don't remember winning vs. UF until this year.

We weren't going to win every damn year forever. Do better Gators.

There is this little football maxim: "Carry the fight to our opponent and keep it there for 60 minutes."

They said the temperature on the field was 110 degrees. It seems odd but some of the UF players had cramps including #31. Conditioning was surely part of why the Gators collapsed in the second half.

That's... actually not a bad point. If you look back at the game thread, I was worried going into the third. Three things really bothered me on the way to letting that one slip away before it did.

1. When we were stopped on a Third and 1.

2. When UTk's receiver made that ridiculous catch behind another guy's back.

3. The D starting to cramp up.

UTk came back out to play, and we were grinding down. UTk played with a lot of heart in that second half.

As far as Appleby's comment, he better believe that whether it's true or not. One difference between confidence and arrogance is knowing being the better team doesn't guarantee crap, but I expect them to go out there and play every game like they are the best team on the field. That's not going to happen if they don't even believe it. That being said, it would seem parts of Florida's team crossed that line and then got shown up.

I'm sure it didn't help with the Home sideline getting shade and the visitor's sideline getting baked (HEYOOO).

But Gators should be used to and thrive in that kind of weather.
