Calm down the bandwagon talk. Half the students that applied to A&M this year alone fit that category. It had nothing to do with lifelong fanhood or alumni parents. More than likely they rooted for the Longhorns or Sooners and for a brief period in the 08-09 season Tech.

They've only "materialized" to you because you haven't been paying attention.
TAMU has been growing at a ridiculous rate for quite some time now. Huge alumni base, and a burgeoning ( :nb4lulz@thatword: ) student/recent graduate population. The emergence of football into the national conscious combined with the SEC move makes it seem like it happened all of a sudden, but we've been here, breh.
And depending on how long you've been in Tyler, you know this already, to an extent

Kameron Miles was originally committed to Tennessee, but A&M flipped him in late November. See a trend here? A&M is stealing UT's criminals (even preemptively). How can Tennessee be expected to compete if other people keep stealing our thugs?
