Just got a tweet from Gene Swindoll (from gene's page on scout.com) saying that Florida was going in another direction. I bet it's Petrino.

A coach has one shot at a job like Florida. I can't imagine he would turn it down if offered.
That being said if he was offered MS St would likely be scrambling to find more money to try and keep him.
The athletic department in the meantime would be putting out information to keep recruits and the fan base stable so they attend the bowl game/don't start looking at other schools.

Sorry, i don't believe anything said right now. UF is not going to give up on Mullen or any coach after 8 hours. Florida will be in no hurry to hire a coach.
