The 2020 ncaa football season, It wasn’t gonna happen any way James Douglas Morrison. Regardless of what some silly Dade County Cuban prick did or didn’t do.

LSU not making that trip to Gainesville
Reschedule it for Tiger Stadium

This sucks for college football
It's in jeopardy now. NBA and MLB will be the blueprint and now you have one team out

I've been Mr. Optimistic when it comes to at least trying to play this season, but this is really bad news IMO. This very well could stay opinions by the decision makers on whether they want to give this thing a shot.

People need to start realizing this shite isn't going away no matter what we do.

Short of "shelter in place forever" the virus will be around.

You have a 99.5% chance of surviving it (not a made up stat) and you need to accept that lots of people will get sick and some will die.

Which is just like every other pandemic we've had.

You don't have to believe me. Dr. Olsterholm, the Director of Infectious Disease Research and Policy said the above.

Mike Rowe explains

TLDR; live your life. Wash your hands.

Gainesville is 5 hours away from Miami and only has 3,100 cases of COVID. Baton Rouge has 9,600 cases.

I'm going to let others judge you for such a dumb comment now.

The 14 positives can go quarantine until they're negative. Bring up another 14 from the squad of 30 at the training center.

This is where a team's depth gets tested!

The timing of this news coming this week will effectively kill college football. This was always the critical week for the decision makers and no way they decide to go ahead now with this being in the news cycle.

Testing positive will happen to many players.

However, few will actually show symptoms much less need medical care. Athletes will be fine. No reason to not play

I'm not saying its the right decision, but if you don't think the decision makers will cave to the outside pressure of not wanting to put amateur athletes in "harm's way", then you haven't been paying attention.

How the MLB handles this situation will be very interesting to watch. They are essentially the guinea pig right now. And that's for professional athletes.

They'll give the athletes a choice to sit out this year or not (keep eligibility intact), but will still push forward. This happened in all of the professional sports, they just don't get paid for sitting at home. It's a choice at the end of the day.

This is only true when talking about the population overall.

When you target specific groups, the number goes up substantially.

For instance, those over 60 or those with diabetes, heart disease, cancer, etc. have a much higher percentage of mortality.

The problem for SEC football is a large portion of the fan-base falls into the above categories.

Which is how it should be. But if the MLB shuts down because they seemingly didn't have a plan for this type of "outbreak", then the precedent will have been set.

True, but the left needs people worried and unhappy for the elections.
