If there was ever a team that deserved the hype heading into the season, I have to think it would be us this year. We return the entire two deep on defense, a Heisman winner at quarterback from a prolific offense and finished the season on a 10 game tear where we absolutely dominated everyone, including the "best offense in college football history."

I mean I totally understand the sentiment, but this is completely different than Georgia being ranked #1 last year, if you know what I mean.

so what you guys are saying is that Florida's season will be a failure if they don't win another national championship?

I'm sorry I just do not see them going back this year. Something will happen. Tebow will get hurt or something. I was watching the replay of the 2005 South Carolina game and Meyer in a close game even against an inferior opponent is simply a below average coach. If he can't blow someone away early he's below average. I also think they are going to run in to some troubles in the SEC trying to put a QB under center for the first time in his life and run plays that you run under center. That type of overhaul is something that takes a while to get use to and sometimes an entire season. Snead played poorly early due in large part to that.
